Aidan’s new Calf Splash

Post 1 of 113

Introducing Aidan’s calf Splash. Thank you very much to all the wonderful name suggestions from the WDC Port River Dolphin Adopters. The name “Splash” was suggested by one of our young adopters from North Haven Primary School. The “Junior Dolphin Rangers” at North Haven Primary School also donated money a few years ago to help the ADS Action Group purchase their Mascot “Splash”. Splash helps us share important messages about keeping the Port River Dolphins safe. You can see Splash below reminding people to keep their distance from a mother dolphin with her calf. Baby dolphins take a while to learn to swim properly. It is important that they have the opportunity to feed and rest so that they have the best opportunity to survive. Hopefully Aidan’s beautiful calf Splash will live a long and happy life.
